The independent variable are the white and brown rabbits, and the dependent variable is the light and dark environment 2. Describe the relationship among them. The light environment lets the white rabbit population increase and makes the brown rabbit more vulnerable to being eaten by predators. The dark environment lets the brown rabbit population increase and the white rabbit population decreases. 3. Explain the patterns observed in the lab activity. The patterns in this lab are that by the 5 generation depending on the environment one of the types of rabbits will be 0. With natural selection predators would be prone to selecting the rabbits they can see the best. 4. The survival rate of the white rabbits will still be decreasing since their in a dark environment, brown rabbits will decrease because it will be easier for the predators to see them.
