1. To ensure the success of the International Space Station (ISS), engineers must take into account a variety of aspects. These include the station's dimensions, make-up, and power, as well as the specifications for communication, life support, and power systems. They must also consider the di±culties of running and maintaining the station in the hostile environments of space, including radiation exposure and microgravity. 2. Astronauts from orbit study Earth's natural processes and anthropogenic activities, such as urbanization, pollution, wildfires, and hurricanes. To comprehend how these systems are evolving and their potential e²ects, they also research the temperature, atmosphere, oceans, and land surface of the planet. Scientists and decision-makers use this information to address the challenges of the global environment. 3. Astronauts are studying how the human body responds to microgravity, radiation exposure, disrupted sleep, and psychological stress. This study intends to advance astronaut care both on Earth and during extended space missions. 4. E±cient sanitation methods are crucial on the ISS to prevent the spread of microorganisms and protect the health of the crew. The crew members take measures such as frequent cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, proper waste management, and personal hygiene practices. The ISS also has air filtration systems to remove contaminants from the air. 5. In zero gravity, daily activities such as bathing and sleeping require special equipment and techniques. Astronauts use no-rinse body wipes and shampoo to bathe, and strap themselves to a sleeping bag attached to a wall or ceiling to sleep. Special clothing and adjustable head straps are also used to keep themselves in place. 6. During their free time, crew members aboard the ISS can watch movies, read books, listen to music, play games, communicate with their families and friends on Earth, exercise, take photographs of Earth, and conduct educational outreach activities. 7. From a small range of pre-packaged foods, astronauts on the ISS select and make their own meals. They might be able to choose among dishes like pasta, rice, steak, seafood, veggies, and fruit. Food is kept from floating away by using special utensils, and some items must be rehydrated before consumption. To save money, people usually eat their meals together and share.
