5400 Cumulative Course Project: Class Technology Initiative Assignment I chose Google Classroom because it is user friendly for educators, parents, and students. Link to the platform: Classwork for Classroom (google.com)
Link to join Classroom: Dear Parents and Students: I am thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome you to our classroom! My name is Miss. Murphy and I will be the Special Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. As a first time teacher, I’m excited to
start this journey with all of you and get to know you. My goal is to create a classroom where we all feel valued, excited, safe, and eager to learn. I want this to be a place where we can grow together and be the best version of ourselves. We will work hard and also have fun together along the way. To have the best experience possible, we will all need to discuss and follow the classroom rules:
Listen, pay attention, and follow directions
Raise your hand to speak or leave your seat
Respect your classmates and your teacher
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself Throughout the year, we will be exploring a variety of reading, writing, and mathematical topics while strengthening and learning new skills. I hope to create engaging lessons that will spark your curiosity and
encourage you to think critically. I also encourage you to ask questions and participate in class discussions. Your unique perspectives and ideas are valuable and will enhance our learning experience. All assignments will be return upon completion of grading. Please make sure to follow the procedures we
will practice of turning in your work, gathering and putting away supplies, and entering and exiting the classroom.
Please enter the classroom quickly and quietly and put up book bags in the closet then go go breakfast.
Put classwork in the basket when finished.
Please do not talk while walking down the hallway.
Each student will have supplies in their own box
One student will be responsible for passing out worksheets for assignments or materials projects.
To exit the classroom, students will line up in a single file line and wait until the class is ready to go.
I welcome all parents to be involved in the classroom. From field trips to activity set up, I encourage parents to sign up to join the class. Parents are welcome to come to the classroom for observation and/or to aid the classroom. Please reach out to me anytime via email at tbmurphy28@gmail.com
for any questions, concerns or to set up a parent/teacher conference. I am honored to be your teacher and I am looking forward to getting to know you. Let’s make this a wonderful school year to remember!
Sincerely,
Miss. Murphy
Assignment 1
In your table groups, you will have to read the proposed fictional text previously assigned to your table. Having read the extract, you should discuss it, focusing on some specific details. First, you should identify the authors' characteristics, forms, and roles and the main idea they narrate. Second, you can predict the events' future development and possible ending. Detail the story's main idea, the author's role, and the purpose of various literary forms by discussing them, analyzing how they interact with specific ideas, and making conclusions. As a group, create a final slide with the main points of your discussion. These should include the discussion of the text's main idea, the author's role, the author's central message, characteristics of primary forms, and whether some elements of literature support the author's words. Finally, you can devote several bullet points on a slide to describe how a story evolves. Assignment 2
For this assignment, your table groups will create a short story based on the literary devices and desired style. Every table will be assigned specific words and literary devices that can be utilized to create a story that has a beginning, a body, and an end. You should also use vocabulary from the short story you read in the previous assignment. Additionally, the words to sequence events, such as before, after, and next, should be used in the text to make it sound logical. As a result, your group should present the final story of narration, drama, poetry, or essay genre. You should present it using the presentation and slides, while the oral presentation is also essential. Every table group should have a different story with various messages and ideas that come from the images presented to them. You can be creative, and there are no limits to your imagination. Nevertheless, please follow the rules and use the outlined words and transitions to ensure all parts are interconnected. Assignment 1

Reflection Technology is one of the critical elements of the modern teaching. It leads to the increased effectiveness of education and better information sharing and acquisition. Within the school setting, technology is one of the factors that cultivate better cross-curricular learning and teaching. Being new to
the occupation, I plan to use technology to improve this aspect, engage pupils in additional interactions, and guarantee better outcomes. For instance, platforms such as Google Classroom simplify access to the
most crucial learning resources and provide an opportunity to address several essential competencies simultaneously. As a result, using technology becomes one of the significant advantages of a modern educator. Although it requires much effort and specific knowledge and skills, assignments such as those outlined above lead to better results. Additionally, technology might be helpful in promoting student collaboration and interaction. In the assignments offered above, the interaction between students is central to attaining the main goals
of every class. Using the online platform, learners can acquire access to the same materials and work on similar tasks together. It leads to higher involvement and motivation levels. Additionally, interactive tools, such as Google Classroom, simplify monitoring of the main tasks and their completion and provide
instant access to all resources and functions important at the moment. As a result, table groups acquire the basis for enhanced collaboration and interaction. Altogether, by using the technological platform for the whole year, the students will become digital citizens and learn how to interact in the highly digitalized world. It is an essential skill that is critical in modern life. For this reason, it is crucial to focus on using this type of interaction during classes. Students will learn how to ask questions, discuss, and answer them by using devices available for them at the moment. For this reason, platforms such as Google Classroom are practical tools for enhancing interactions between students, teachers, and parents. The constant access to learning resources is vital for all parties who participate in the learning process. Thus, technology allows numerous teachers to incorporate innovative solutions and make them part of their everyday lives. It is an essential element of modern teaching that should not be disregarded to attain better results and create the basis for new achievements.
