argument
to be addressed in your persuasive essay. Explain how the argument relates to your major, the major you are considering pursuing, or your field of work.

Make certain your topic is debatable. Are you able to see at least two perspectives to this argument?
The argument I will be addressing in my persuasive essay will be the positives of the Veterans’ Mission Act. This argument pertains to the work I plan on doing with our Veteran community by being an advocate. I’m able to see two perspectives on this assignment, one as a Veteran myself and the other as an advocate for Veterans. 2.
Identify the potential challenges you may encounter in supporting your argument with a
specific audience.
a.
First, state the audience you will be writing to.
The audience I will be writing to are United States Veterans and who is eligible for services at the Department of Veterans affairs. b.
Then address the challenges of supporting your argument with this audience.
Some of the challenges I will be faced with while writing this essay will be trying to persuade my audience. Veterans have a fear of change, support that the Department of Veterans affairs can give, and the red tape that Veterans run into with their treatment. 3.
Establish a
goal
that you hope to accomplish with this essay. What will this essay need to successfully meet your goal?

The goal I would like to accomplish is to educate Veterans about the positive effects of the Mission Act. Veterans and the people that receive care at the VA will need a clear explanation and an easily understood explanation. 4.
Determine three
key points
that will help support your argument.
The three key points I plan of using to support my argument will be wait time at the VA to get in for an appointment, the use of telehealth, and the control Veterans will have over their care.

two sources that support
the key points of your argument.
a.
First, list the authors and titles of each source. These sources may be books or articles you identified in a previous assignment.
