Learning Center 1: Farm Animals
CCSS.ELA.SL.K.3 (Technology)
Students at this learning center will engage in conversation and teamwork with peers from
various backgrounds, relationships, and worldviews. The children will be divided into small
groups and given a topic to discuss with their classmates.
In this activity, students will watch a short video of farm animals and then be asked to identify
the species shown in the clip. In addition to learning where each animal lives and what sounds
they make, students can also name the places where they can be found. Each learner describes an
organism, an ecosystem, and an environmental sound they have encountered in the wild. The
animals the students choose to depict will be depicted in their natural habitats. The students'
assignment for this class is this.
Learning Center 2: Earth Day (Science)
Students working in this center will be tested on their comprehension of aural textual material
about Earth. At this station, students can either watch a video of a remote reader of the book or
listen to live instructions from a teacher. The teacher can keep an eye on students' progress at
other stations while they watch the video reading on the projector, which is why the audio
reading is recommended. In addition to being quizzed on what they've learned in this activity,
students will be asked to generate questions designed to elucidate any confusing parts of the text.
3
Before beginning the station activities, students will complete a workbook that provides
background information about Earth and its various parts (water, land, clouds, etc.). This talk
will consume the entire class period. To aid students in memorizing the world's regions, the text
presentation will focus on various letters of the alphabet. In response to this presentation, the
instructor will facilitate a discussion of Earth-related data and facts. Based on their research,
students will be asked to illustrate what they think might be found on Earth's surface using
magazine cutouts, paint, and colored pencils.
Learning Center 3: Letters
Similar to the traditional BINGO game, each student will receive a BINGO card at the station,
but this one will include both uppercase and lowercase letters. There will be a variety of
typefaces used in the unique deck of playing cards. A volunteer room parent or teacher's aide will
call out the short and long vowel sounds for each letter. Depending on the situation, the letter "A"
has two distinct meanings, which they both share. Once they have determined which letter it is,
students will cover it with a red piece of paper. By correctly predicting the teacher's letter
BINGO five times in a row, students can win the game. Students will compete with one another
in this environment while also having constructive conversations and coming up with novel
solutions to issues.
Learning Center 4: Numbers
Students can practice their backward counting abilities from a given target number in this
supervised learning setting. Here, the emphasis is on giving children practice counting backward
from a given number. This strategy is sometimes referred to as "target rolling." This transcends

simple mathematical conjecture. Students' hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and gross
motor abilities can all be enhanced through target rolling.
Everyone in this classroom sits cross-legged in a large circle. The station's volunteer coordinator
will be free to move around the students and help anyone who requires it. Each student will roll
the larger die once, and the class will begin counting from that number. The student may count
by tens using the rolled number. Each group will have two dice at their disposal. To write 1- 6 on
one and 4-9 on the other, we will divide them in half. A teacher can give verbal cues to a
struggling student to assist them in counting. By taking part in this activity, a child's ability to
count from any number up to ten will get better. If this study group were repeated with twice as
many participants, the number of students involved would rise to 100 very quickly.
Learning Center 5: Library
The reading station will give students a chance to demonstrate what they have learned. The
purpose of these tests is to determine how well students have retained the material. The teacher
will select the book, and a room parent or aide will volunteer to read aloud to the class. The class
set will be read aloud by a teacher's assistant or volunteer, and students will alternate reading
aloud from their books. After reading the story, students will be given a set of questions to
complete, some of which will call for them to recall specific, minute details. Discussion topics
will range from the premise of the story to the character names.

The textbook is provided for use by the instructor, and each student also has a copy. Additionally,
it's advised that teachers ask students to bring paper and pencils in case they want to take notes or
answer some follow-up questions after reading. To prepare the class for the chapter-ending
questions, a TA or volunteer teacher will outline the key points from each section of the chapter.
The children should then read it to their parents as the next step. Each student must complete
their usual reading assignment in addition to creating an illustration that summarizes a key idea
or theme from the reading. This is a key area for improving students' memory and retention.
