Purpose Statement
This final report's aim is to assess the potential of compressed air devices to reduce methane gas production within a shared Canadian atmosphere.
Environmental Effects
Degradation: After a decade, the majority of the methane produced has combined with
For hundreds or possibly thousands of years, this carbon dioxide has been heating the environment (Canada, 2019).
Reduction: Canada’s most cost-effective GHG reduction solutions for reducing methane gas.
The two governments of "lower methane emissions from the oil and gas industry by 40% to 45% below 2012 levels by 2025 and investigate new potential for further methane reductions" (Canada, 2021).
Production: Methane is produced in the cattle industry, natural gas production, coal mining, wastewater treatment, and landfills (Greenhouse Gas Emissions by Country, n.d., 2022). The main human-caused sources of methane are the production and burning of natural gas and coal. To create:

Economic Effects of Compressed Air Devices Production Cost

th most expensive resource after electricity, water & gas. An air compressor would require around 8 hp of power to create
1 hp of work (Commercial Air Compressor, 2021).
Saves money in the long-run Employment Growth
The Canadian industrial air compressor market is predicted to expand at an annual growth of 4.1%.
This development is commonly related to increased energy production, gas production, pharmaceutical development, etc (Industrial Air Compressor, 2022).
Global Development In some European nations, compressed-air systems account for about 10% of total industrial energy use.
10% of usage in the U.S and Malaysia.
In China, compressed-air systems consume 9.4% of the country’s power. Also, they account for around 9% of overall energy usage in South Africa (Saidur, et al, 2010).

Societal and Environmental Benefits
Methane gas is frequently combined with carcinogenic air contaminants and can contribute to the development of smog-forming pollutants such as ground-level ozone (Canada, 2019). Compressed-air devices can benefit ecosystems, human health, and food security since they decrease the formation of tropospheric ozone, which can negatively affect one’s health in several negative ways. Flexibility, power and simplicity of use enable the execution of difficult jobs more rapidly than traditional power tools (Air Supplies, 2022). Less maintenance required
Unlike electric tools, compressed-air devices do not cause electric shocks (Air Supplies, 2022).
