Where Fighting Meets Business: My Journey of Learning and Growth
Introduction:
I learned an unanticipated relationship between the field of business administration and the
quick-paced world of mixed martial arts (MMA). This extraordinary voyage goes beyond the
boundaries of octagon fights, exploring the area of self-improvement while simultaneously
showing a unique viewpoint that unites two seemingly incompatible cultures
Inspiration from MMA:
Every time I put on my gloves in the revered Royal Tiger Academy's training facility, under the
instruction of former MMA fighter Master Kenji Saykosy, my adventure officially begins. The
fight between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson in UFC 165, which took place on September
21, 2013, at Toronto, Ontario, Canada's Air Canada Centre, remains a turning point in my life.
MMA as More Than a Sport:
More than just a sport, mixed martial arts (MMA) is a way of life that may teach us important
business lessons? This relationship was demonstrated in the legendary Jon Jones vs. Alexander
Gustafsson UFC 165 match 2013. In business, it's crucial to comprehend competition and adjust
to changing circumstances, just as boxers do in the octagon. These combatants are examples of
resilience and unyielding resolve, both essential for success in both fields. My MMA training at

the Royal Tiger Academy under the direction of Master Kenji Saykosy has reaffirmed the value
of focus, planning, and ongoing development.
What Fuels My Passion for MMA?
For me, MMA is a game-changer. It's not just about staying fit; it's about becoming stronger,
more flexible, and improving my heart health. I've learned to be disciplined - setting goals,
managing my time, and committing to hard work - skills that apply to everything I do.
MMA has given me practical self-defense skills, boosting my confidence. It's not just about the
gym; it's about handling stress, anxiety, and tough times with grit.
But it's not all about being tough alone. MMA encourages camaraderie, creating strong bonds
and support networks. Respect, dignity, and setting goals are vital here.
Living a healthier life is now second nature, with better choices and wellness in mind. MMA
could even open doors to sports careers for those who love it.
The Confluence of MMA and Business Administration
:
Over time it became evident that the qualities required for success in business administration
were the same qualities that underpin success in mixed martial arts. My passion for mixed
martial arts has grown from a simple pastime to a potent instrument for self-improvement with
direct practical implications.
Transformation and Integration:
My perspective on life experienced a radical transformation. I changed from merely admiring
successful people to actively incorporating their traits into my academic and training activities.
My discovery that my love for MMA and business administration were intrinsically linked was
the culmination of this journey.
Alignment with Academic and Career Goals:
