Running head: HOW TO WRITE AN EBP LITERATURE REVIEW 1 How to Write an EBP Literature Review Gabriel Gomez Miami Dade College February 16, 2021
HOW TO WRITE AN EBP LITERATURE REVIEW 2 How to Write an EBP Literature Review Evidence is most thought of as proof supporting a claim or belief. There are two types of evidence: intellectual data and scientific evidence. Such help can be high or small. In the case of public health initiatives, data usually relates to the efficacy of an initiative in producing a result that can contribute to lasting improvements in the community's health. This evidence is generally presented in scientific literature, such as scholarly articles, books, or government studies. Journal articles are shorter than books and are written on very basic subjects. A journal refers to several articles (like a magazine) distributed in accordance to a schedule during the year. On the other hand, peer-reviewed journals refer to articles submitted by professionals checked by several other professionals in the same field before the paper is published in a journal. This process is essential in ensuring that the information provided is accurate. Literature review provides a deeper look at books and publications made scientifically in relation to a specific topic or hypothesis. Doing so gives an outline, description and critical evaluation of the work associated with the research topic under review. In the medical field, literature review forms the foundation for high-quality medical education research and enhances significance, originality, generalization, and effect. A literature review lays out the context, advises the approach, maximizes creativity, prevents replication of the study, and assures that ethical expectations are followed (Paul & Criado, 2020). The study of the literature is not a stamp series collection. A robust analysis reviews the literature, examines it objectively, describes methodological issues, and points out discrepancies in the study. IMRaD is an acronym for Introduction – Method – Results – and – Discussion and is a format for structuring a scientific paper.
