What is the significance of the story’s title?
The significance of the story’s title “traplines”
recommends the children
appear to be caught in their circumstances one way or another, and they
essentially need to take what life throws at them.

What are your traplines?
My traplines were when I lived back in my home country I made lots of
friends there and one of my dad’s friends came to Canada because he had a job
there. He also recommended us to come to Canada as well, so he booked us a
flight there and now we live here for almost 12 years now. At that time I really
didn’t want to leave all my friends and cousins there.

What is the major conflict of the story?
Within the short story "Traplines" the author, Eden Robinson, appears the
inner struggle the main character, Will, has trouble in finding his genuine
personality by appearing his connections with the Smythe 's, his family, and his
companions.

How would you describe the mood or tone of the story?
In my opinion, I think the tone of the story's traplines would be very
clear and changless
