Refer to Chapter 10 in the textbook which discusses externalities. Specifically, reference section 10-2, which details public policies towards externalities. Additionally, find an article using your subscription to the Wall Street Journal detailing one proposed solution to pollution. and corrective tax. If someone is not part of the solution, usually they are part of the problem. That's what I always try to instill in my children, if they are not part of the solution, they are part of the problem. That advice could be given to anyone. The solution in the article was to close all the
nearby beaches until their waste and smell was better. The main solution was to stay away from the beach completely. People living near the beach had to travel up to 40 miles just to find a clean beach. i really hope they find a solution for this uncleaniness and get back up & running.
