2 What are the primary labor market challenges confronting young workers in Canada? Description Labor marketing challenges refer to the hardship one faces while securing a job. Young workers are associated as individuals who have low job experience, hence termed incompetent or deficient in required work skills. In Canada, the rate at which young workers or youths are unemployed is alarming. Some of the major causes of the child's increased unemployment rate include an increased gap between their education and employment ( Dhanjal & Schirle . 2014). That is, most employers prefer to have workers who have quality education. Furthermore, young workers lack required job experience, yet most institutions employ those who have a great deal of experience. Combining this with the employer's perceptions about the young is how inefficient they are and unskilled (Bothwell et al., 2018). When the young attend internships after completing their programs or courses, they are instilled with noble skills that make them competitive in the world market.
