2 Assignment 6 a) What distinctive factors did you lock down to in your review and decision? The distinctive factors in Sample 4 that stood down upon initial glance through the samples were the looping, cursive-like writing and the movement of the writing. In both writing samples, the entire page starts to drift to the right as the page goes down. b) How many of the letters did you initially toss out just based on visual inspection? I went through the letters in the order they appeared and with the letter I chose being the fourth in the list, I initially tossed out the first three. To ensure I was right, I went through the rest of the letters and determined my answer was the best one. c) Did you consider that the writer could have used faked handwriting to write out the sample? I did consider the writer may have used fake handwriting, maybe even used their non-dominant hand to disguise their writing. However, the two letters still match. d) What level of certainty would you give to your chosen document being the correct document? With the slanted writing, cursive-style font, similar mistakes with scratching out for corrections, I am very certain the chosen document is written by the same. Especially amongst the samples provided, there is no other possibility of it being someone else.
