Fabian Richards CYB 210 6-2 Project one
I. Network Reconfiguration Reconfigure the network in the file provided. Then submit a PNG or PDF file of your updated network diagram and show screenshot evidence that you have met the project requirements for the following critical elements: II. A. Properly configure the  VLAN  for guest and video connections to meet the project requirements. Submit a screenshot of the VLAN table. Explanation : Create a VLAN (50) which is known as the Main_Switch with an IP address of 192.168.50.150 and were properly configured to manage all of the devices connecting.
B. Properly configure the  guest wireless network  to meet the project requirements. Submit a screenshot of the wireless settings for the wireless router. Explanation : Create the Guest_Wireless router with an Up Address(192.168.10.1) which connects to the VLAN 50 via DHCP. C. Make sure that  devices  are connected to the guest wireless network to meet the project requirements. IP addresses for the devices should be noted in the network diagram PNG or PDF.

Explanation : I first created the VLAN 50(Voice) where I then will connect the guest network by using a router. The router was configured with IP address (192.168.101.). The other two devices (SmarthPhone – 192.168.10.2), and Guest_Tablet – 192.168.10.3) were configure correctly to connect to the wireless router using a DHCP connection. D. Make sure that  cameras  are connected to the video network to meet the project requirements. IP addresses for the cameras should be noted in the network diagram PNG or PDF. Explanation : The camera were connected to Main_Switch(192.168.50.150) with the statis IP address corresponding to the VLAN50
E. Make sure that guest and video networks are  properly segmented.  Submit screenshots of ping tests that prove you have met this project requirement. III. Explanation of Network Segregation Articulate your response to the questions below. A. Describe  how you segmented network traffic  to meet the project requirements for guest and video connections. Using the Switch's Configuration window's VLAN database, I established several VLANs. The Guest_Wireless router, SmartPhone, and Guest_tablet that are now being used in this scenario are linked to VLAN 10 that I made for the Guest. Next, I created VLAN 20 for Video services and connected it to the two cameras that are presently being used in this situation. Computer traffic was established and separated from other network traffic using VLANs 40 and 50, respectively. The four networks are separated from one another by employing four distinct VLANs that are linked together via a switch.
B. Explain how you considered the  scalability  of the guest wireless network in order to meet the project requirements (IP addressing, leasing, etc.). Because DHCP IP addressing allows up to 70 users to access the wireless network at simultaneously, scalability issues have been allayed. The usage of the GUI in the router's operation allowed for this. This might be expanded in the future by making a little adjustment to the router's configuration. The rental period is currently set at one day. If settings can be found, this might be reduced in the future, however I was unable to reach this option at this time, therefore I was unable to adjust the setting.
