Dylan Harloff 8/31/20 Please conduct an investigation on the computer(s) and device(s) that you are using. Write a paragraph about your investigation for each of these three questions: 1) for each of your computer, please identify the capacity of processor, RAM, hard drive, and other features that you might be able to find; 2) discuss the functions and features of the secondary storage that you are using, such as external hard drive; 3) build an exhaustive list of the input and output devices that you have used. Please name one thing in your investigation that you find most interesting. 1. The computer I will be using during this semester of work will be the Microsoft Surface 3. The capacity of processing for this laptop is called, Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz. The RAM of this computer is at 8.00 GB. The hard drive that is on the windows computer is a local drive that contains around 250GB of storage. As of now I have no external or secondary storage devices, but I am interested in purchasing one in the future. The input devices that I use on this computer are the windows keyboard, windows wireless pen, my fingers while using the touch screen feature, and my mouse that is built into the computer. The outputs that I have used on this device is the laptop screen, the Clark University printers, and the Clark University fax machines. One thing I found most interesting during my investigation was reading about the Intel Core processor. 2. The second device I will be using for this semester of work will be the iPhone 8. The capacity of processing for this iPhone is 2.39 GHz hexa-core 64-bit. The RAM of this iPhone is 2 GB LPDDR4X. The hard drive that my iPhone uses is a local drive that is around 64GB worth of data. The secondary storage device that I use is the Apple iCloud which is around 256GB of storage. This allows me to store photos, text messages, emails, and other important documents I would potentially need in the future. The input

devices that I use on my iPhone are the text keyboard, emoji keyboard, touch screen, home button, and fingers. The outputs that I have used on this device is the iPhone speakers, Apple air pods, and printer . One thing I found most interesting during this investigation was finding out about the RAM capacity on the iPhone. In Microsoft Excel, you use PivotTables to organize many variables at the same time. A PivotTable summarizes the variables as a multidimensional summary table and allows you to interactively change the level of summarization and the arrangement and formatting of the variables. PivotTables also allow you to interactively "slice" your data to summarize subsets of data that meet specified criteria. At least one of your answers is incorrect and/or you have not selected all of the correct answers. When visualizing data, always be guided by the goal of not distorting the data. To avoid such distortions and to create a visualization that best conveys the data, always follow the guidelines given below. Use these guidelines to describe at least one good feature of the given visual display. Avoid chart junk Use the simplest possible visualization Include a title Label all axes Include a scale for each axis if the chart contains axes Begin the scale for a vertical axis at zero Use a constant scale
