The reason why wikipedia is not a valid source is because it is an open editing platform in which anybody can edit or contribute to articles. Another reason is it has lack of formal reviews. The articles are also dynamic in nature because they keep changing now and than. 6. All mobile devices have a GPS chip that can calculate your exact position. One big disadvantage is that privacy. Because your smartphone tracks your location it can share your location or unauthorised access like in applications can cause trouble for you or you might get stalked or senstive information of yours might get leaked. Section 4: Shopping on the Internet 1. When shopping online, what are the two most common visual indicators that a site is secured, and what does each mean for online shoppers? (6 pts) Padlock Icon on the address bar: this means that information exchanged between the user and website like the payment details and personal information is encrypted and secure from unauthorized users. “https” in the URL: this signifies that there is a secure connection. The “s” is for secure, and it also means that data transmitted between the browser and site server is encrypted. This helps because users usually enter credit card details for online shopping. 2.
