1. For expansion cards, examine the ports on the back of the card.  Can you determine the purpose of the card by looking at its ports? What type of slot does the card use? Yes, I can. The purpose of expansion cards can be determined by looking at their ports because if we know the ports, we will know what the card is for. For example, if you have DVI ports (in any of its 5 variants), VGA, HDMI, or DP then we are facing a graphic card. Another example if we are looking at a port like RJ 45 then we have a NIC. - My card has a Dual DisplayPort 1.4 header, one HDMI 2.0b port, and Nvidia co, a dual-link DVI- D header. It is connecter to the motherboard through the PCLe3.0x16 slot. The USB-C port is a Virtual Link connector that can deliver power, data, and display signals all at once to next-gen VR headsets.
