As smart homes become increasingly popular, the demand for home automation devices such as Apple Home Pod has proliferated. While Apple Home Pod does offer a practical smart assistant that can be easily integrated into existing intelligent homes, there are some limitations to consider (Ng & Lin, 2022). One of the significant limitations of using Apple Home Pod in conjunction with smart home devices is its range. While most smart home devices use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other wireless technology to communicate with one another, these signals have a limited range. If the smart home devices are spread out throughout the home, the Home Pod's range may extend further to communicate with all of them. This can result in connectivity issues or a loss of control over specific devices. Another limitation of using Apple Home Pod with smart home devices is compatibility. A wide variety of smart home devices are available on the market, and not all of them are compatible with Apple Home Pod. It is important to carefully check the compatibility of the smart home devices before integrating them into the Apple Home Pod ecosystem to ensure seamless integration (Sharda et al., 2020). However, Apple Home Pod remains an impressive, intelligent assistant for the connected home despite these potential limitations. With its robust features and ease of use, it can significantly enhance the functionality of an intelligent home system. It is essential to thoroughly examine and understand these limitations before implementing Home Pod into the smart home setup. Alexa has transformed how people interact with our homes, providing an easy-to-use and ubiquitous voice interface for smart devices. One of the most significant applications of Alexa is as a home automation controller (Ng & Lin, 2022). Alexa can control a wide range of intelligent home appliances, from light bulbs to thermostats, and even refrigerators. Many devices can be connected to Alexa, all designed to elevate the consumer experience. The different types of Alexa-compatible devices and examine the traits that differentiate them from one another are as follows. Begin with intelligent lighting systems that connect to Alexa. With such a system installed in a home, Alexa can brighten the home with only voice commands. Various setups are available on the market, each with distinct advantages (Sharda et al., 2020). There are LED or light emitting diode or light bulbs that connect to it and can produce a spectrum of different colors allowing a homeowner to express their tastes and biases in the home's appearance.
