Students will keep and note all learning pieces (formative and summative evaluations) given to them throughout the year: success criteria, evidence of learning, descriptive feedback; students should write down conversations they have with their teacher as well. Utilizing the learning pieces they have collected throughout the year, students will complete a worksheet or Google Doc for each learning strand in the English curriculum that they have worked through this year: reading, writing, oral communication and media (depending on their grade requirement). Students will discuss how they tried to improve in
each area.
Classroom Learning
At the year end conversation, students will use previously handed out conversation organizers with guiding questions to frame their discussion. Out-of-School Contexts, Experiential Learning
Some examples of the requirements of this conversation and/or potential questions that may be included on the organizer could be asking students to connect what they learned through this metacognitive process to out-of-school contexts. Strengths and Next Steps
In addition, students will also be asked to reflect on their strengths and next steps with regards to learning skills and create specific/personal learning skill, next step success criteria related to tasks
