As a future educator, it is imperative to recognize the significance of displaying proper communication skills in order to maintain an ideal classroom environment. Effective communication encompasses more than mere vocalization; it extends to physical attributes such as posture and facial expressions.
One aspect that concerns me greatly is my facial expressions. I often find myself displaying a neutral facial expression, which can inadvertently convey a lack of friendliness despite feeling content. Therefore, it is crucial for me to ensure that my facial expressions are open, approachable, and welcoming to my pupils.
However, I face a unique challenge in communication due to being deaf, which introduces a barrier in my ability to fully comprehend and express myself. The thought of being in a classroom full of young students and potentially misinterpreting or miscommunicating messages due to hearing difficulties makes me particularly nervous. In addition to the aforementioned challenges, my deafness presents another significant hurdle: the inability to gauge the volume of my voice. Regrettably, there have been instances when I unintentionally raise my voice while attempting to kindly request my children to do certain tasks. This has led to substantial communication issues within our family dynamic. I am continuously implementing new ways to ensure that I am able to recognize and control the volume of my voice.
Nevertheless, I take solace in my confidence to foster strong relationships and connect with my future students. Drawing from my experience as a mother of four and being the second eldest among nine siblings on my mother's side, I have ample experience in working with children. The
genuine passion I have for both learning and helping others continuously drives me.

Authenticity is a core value I hold dear, not only for myself personally but also for my students. It is essential that I empower them to embrace their true selves unapologetically while maintaining a supportive and structured learning environment. To effectively exemplify this, I believe it is imperative for me to lead by example.
Confidence serves as a vital attribute within a classroom setting. Regardless of their age, students
appreciate the reassurance of having a capable and composed educator. They respond more positively to someone who exudes an air of authority and self-assurance, as opposed to someone who appears anxious and uncertain. By owning and confidently managing my classroom, I will not only be able to execute my lesson plans effectively but also provide my students with a sense
of security and trust in their learning environment. In conclusion, as a future educator who values effective communication, I am aware of the various aspects that play a crucial role in maintaining a well-functioning classroom. From non-
verbal cues such as facial expressions and posture to the challenges presented by my deafness, I recognize the importance of continuously striving to enhance my communication skills. Through my experiences as a mother, as well as my passion for helping others, I am confident in my ability to develop meaningful connections with my future students. By being authentic, leading by example, and exuding confidence, I will create an inviting and secure learning environment where each student feels empowered to be their best selves. Furthermore, I am actively seeking solutions to address the volume control issue arising from my deafness, ensuring that my communication with my loved ones remains respectful and effective. With a commitment to continuous improvement and a focus on open and genuine communication, I am prepared to
