What reason does the author give regarding there is increase in marital satisfactions in childless marriages? Respond with a sentence. The authors say that, “Research shows that couples who are childfree by choice and remain childfree have higher levels of marital satisfaction than couples who have children (Shapiro, Gottman, & Carrere, 2000). Compared to the 67% of wives who experienced a steep decline in marital satisfaction after having a baby, wives who
remained childfree experienced stability, and for 33% of them, an increase in marital satisfaction over time.” This is the reason the author give regarding there is an increase in martial satisfaction in childless marriages. 2.
