An Act of 1984 is intended to advance equality of opportunity for all citizens of this State, to stop specific forms of discrimination based on sex, race, disability, age, or other factors, to make it easier for residents to participate in the community's economic and social life, and to deal with other related issues. The Equal Opportunity Act of 2010 is the current statute (External link). The law prevents discrimination against individuals based on their unique characteristics in several spheres of public life and offers remedies to those who have experienced prejudice. 1984's Equal Opportunity Act. An act to encourage equality of opportunity between the citizens of this State, to stop some forms of discrimination based on sex, race, disability, age, or other factors, to make it easier for residents to participate in the economic and social life of the neighbourhood, and to deal with other related issues. 1987 Equal Opportunity Act?
