Assignment #2 1 Assignment #2 Norma Jara Central State University of Ohio INS-3007-03W Fall 2023 Collab w/Par/Pro Ethics and Responsibility Nathan Boles October 22,2023
Assignment #2 2 I feel that they requirement is inappropriate to expect students to achieve a score of 92% or above on the Civil War-era test in order to earn an A grade for the class since student achievement cannot be measured by a single test. When teachers administer a test, it is for one of two purposes, either to a certain standard to determine achievement in relation to others." (Knackendoffel et al., 2017) This means that tests are either given to assess level of mastery or for the purpose of differentiation, producing scores that are either criterion or domain referenced. When communication with students, there are tactics teachers can implement in order to facilitate effective communication. Poor relationships and communication between a teacher and their students can impact the learning and interest of students in the classroom. Teachers who create a safe, open, and encouraging classroom environment often have more effective communication with their students. I feel that when interacting with students, Educators should create and initiate goals that are clear and consistent, be attentive to the needs and concerns of students, collect useful data through a variety of assessment methods, and create a positive learning environment. In addition, teachers should establish goals that involve creating a positive learning environment. For example, essays, and projects are a few examples of the diverse evaluation methods that teachers ought to make available to students in order to assemble reliable data regarding the students' varying levels of achievement. Students should have access to a variety of assessment methods, including classroom activities and discussions. Teachers should make these resources available to their students. This allows for a more comprehensive evaluation of the student's knowledge and gives the instructor a deeper comprehension of the student's development as a learner. According to our Book, "Teaching is based around your students, you can't effectively teach unless you are able to communicate with students and understand their needs in the classroom. Studies have found that students are more successful
