Basic information The company that my team and I will evaluate is Facebook Inc, which is now known as Meta Platforms. Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, is an American online social media platform and social network service. It was established in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes (Hall, 2024). Facebook is a free application that you can download on your IOS or Android device. Facebook, also known as Meta, is a social media platform where you can create a profile about yourself and share it with your friends and family, also you can share photos, videos, and articles, join groups, and participate in events. Timeline, a section on each user's profile page where users may upload content and friends can leave messages, is one of the many features of the website. Facebook has transformed beyond being merely a space for connecting with friends and family, it has also become an essential tool for businesses (Team, 2023). Facebook gives a lot of small businesses an opportunity to advertise their businesses, and this is a platform that has 3.05 billion monthly active users and 2.09 billion daily active as of 2024.

Facebook, also known as Meta, mission statement is “to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together (Meta Inc, 2022).” I believe this is a good mission statement because Facebook has grown tremendously through out these years. There’s so much that Facebook allows you to do on their platform. I use Facebook often and I’m able to see and communicate with my family and friends in any part of the world. In Facebooks mission statements its states what the mission of the platform will bring to people, and I can say that Facebook gave me the opportunity to do a lot for my community. Facebook vision statement states “People use Facebook to remain in contact with loved ones, to learn what's going on in the world, and to communicate and convey what is important to them (Edrawsoft, 2024).” This is also a good statement made by Facebook, not only this is a social networking site, Facebook allows you to express your feelings and it can be seen from anyone around the world. Also giving you the ability to stay in contact with friends and family you probably don’t see. In addition, Facebook has a large board of directors’
