In Module One, we discussed organizational transformation, and its importance to organizational growth, identifying inefficiencies, meeting consumer demands as well as achieving competitive advantage. One of the tools utilized throughout this course was a SWOT analysis which was conducted to identify key strengths and weaknesses to be utilized to best determine skills already obtained and/or needed to effectively lead and manage change within an organization. Skills Assessment Upon beginning this course, I identified adaptability and resourcefulness as my strengths, while recognizing empathy and patience as areas in need of improvement. Additionally, I saw communication and position of power as opportunities for growth and viewed resistance to change and fear of change as potential threats. However, as I progress through the course and expand upon my learning, I have witnessed a transformation in my weaknesses, turning them into strengths. The resources provided in this course, along with my real-world experiences in my current career, have enabled me to focus on these specific areas and nurture them. Particularly, my levels of empathy and reasoning have heightened due to the change management process underway in my organization. By understanding the scenario presented in the course and observing the impact of change within my organization, I have gained a deeper appreciation for how individuals are affected by change and the pivotal role communication plays in aiding their navigation through the process. Moreover, I have realized that empathy, transparency, communication, and patience are crucial in building trust and fostering a productive work environment. By instilling trust and compassion, an organization can effectively manage and control change. Personal Action Plan
In my journey through my professional career and the remaining duration of the MBA program, I have come to realize that there are two essential skills that I have acquired in this course which will greatly contribute to my growth and success. These skills are critical thinking and negotiation/motivation. Throughout the course, I have been challenged to thoroughly examine the different components of the acquisition process and analyze them from various perspectives to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Additionally, I have learned how to recognize the impact of change on all aspects of an organization and effectively address resistance. This course has emphasized the importance of critical thinking and negotiation skills in achieving success in all areas of life. By further developing these skills, I will be able to approach situations with a subjective mindset, effectively solve problems, conduct thorough analysis, gain buy-in from others, and foster cooperation, communication, and conflict resolution. In addition, upon completing my MBA program, I have acquired two essential skills that I will consistently apply throughout my professional journey: marketing management and performance management. These skills are of utmost importance as they serve as the foundation for effectively utilizing strategies and techniques to promote and advertise the organization across various platforms. Moreover, they enable me to measure and evaluate operational and employee performance using key metrics, while recognizing the significance of providing incentives to motivate and engage employees. By continuously utilizing and enhancing these skills, I aim to contribute to the success of the organization, expand its operations, and ensure its long-term sustainability. Furthermore, this will also enhance my skill set, making me an asset to any organization.

Continuous improvement is necessary for two skills in this program: networking and communication. Networking plays a crucial role in career development across various industries. Building strong connections can facilitate career advancement and create new opportunities. To network effectively, one must possess good communication skills and be open to engaging with external parties. However, these are areas where I struggle due to my shy demeanor. Overcoming this challenge will be an ongoing process as I push myself outside of my comfort zone. As I progress in my career, I am committed to improving my communication skills and actively networking with individuals who can support and mentor me, ultimately enhancing my professional growth. Throughout the duration of this MBA program, the badges, and certifications I acquire will equip me with the necessary technical expertise to navigate various aspects of my career and personal life. Among the certifications that stand out to me, two are particularly valuable: performance measurement and change management. These certifications hold exceptional utility for any organization, regardless of its industry. This is because every organization, at some point in its life cycle, will experience a period of change. Consequently, it is crucial for leaders to possess knowledge about the components of change, how to identify the need for change, adapt to it, facilitate it within their teams, and overcome resistance to change. In addition to facilitating change, these leaders must also possess the skills to identify and utilize key performance metrics to determine the success of the change process. As I progress in my career, I will continue to apply the knowledge gained from this program in my day-to-day activities and further enhance my expertise to foster growth within my organizations. Accountability
Upon the completion of my MBA, I am committed to continuously enhancing my knowledge and skills. To achieve this, I will actively engage in continuing education courses that focus on the latest processes and procedures in my field. Moreover, I recognize the value of mentors who can provide me with guidance, insights, and firsthand wisdom to support my leadership journey. Their expertise will be invaluable in my professional development. Additionally, I will seek feedback from my peers and cohorts, as their perspectives can help me identify areas for improvement. By utilizing metrics and self-assessment, I will pinpoint the skills that require further development and dedicate myself to honing them. I understand that to excel in my career, I must adapt to the ever-changing economic landscape by continuously adjusting and modifying my skill set.
