Team Presentation: Show What You Know
Objective
The objective of this assignment is to enhance your business presentation skills by researching and delivering a
well-structured presentation on a business topic.
Instructions
Part 1: Choose a Topic
Each team will select a business topic from the list of options below. Topics will be selected on a first come basis. Everyone on the team must agree
. Once a topic is chosen, no other team can choose that topic. Topics include marketing and promotional strategies, leadership styles, motivating employees, small business management, and business ethics. 1.
Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility
Discuss the importance of ethical decision-making in business and how companies can actively participate in promoting social responsibility. Provide a real-world example of a company who has demonstrated a commitment to ethical and socially responsible behavior and discuss how they have made an impact in their respective industry. 2.
Globalization and International Business
Discuss the impact of globalization on business operations and some of the cultural considerations when operating in international markets. Provide a real-world example of a company that has effectively managed and adapted to these challenges to thrive in the global marketplace.

Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
Explore the key principles of entrepreneurship, including startup strategies, small business management, and the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. Share a real-world example of a small business you admire or find inspiring. What do you think is the key to their success? 4.
Leadership and Management Styles
Compare different leadership and management styles and discuss their implications for organizational success. Identify a leader who utilizes a unique leadership or management style and analyze how their approach has impacted their organization's success. 5.
Matrix Organizational Structure
Discuss the advantages and challenges of a matrix structure. Provide a real-world example of an organization that uses a matrix structure and its impact on their operations.

Explore the following HR functions, recruitment, training and performance management, and their role in organizational success. Then, analyze and discuss the approach taken by one company in these HR functions and share your perspective on whether they are productive or destructive. 7.

Discuss HR practices, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and their impact on employee performance and job satisfaction. Provide a real-world example of a company who has demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion. 8.
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Motivating Employees
Discuss the application of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and how it can be applied in a business context to motivate employees effectively. Share your recommendations for how a real-world company can use
Maslow’s Hierarchy to shift their organizational culture. 9.
Supply Chain Management
Discuss logistics and processes involved in supply chain management and how it influences a company's efficiency. Then, analyze and discuss a real-world example of a company that has mastered the SCM process. 10. Marketing Strategies and Consumer Behavior
Discuss two marketing techniques, consumer behavior, and how businesses create effective marketing campaigns to drive business success. Provide a real-world example of a company or brand that successfully utilized these strategies to achieve business success.
Part 2: Research and Content Development
In addition to discussing the topic, you will need to reference a real company as the basis for your presentation. You will need to provide a real-world example of what the company is doing to support your topic. Some other important tips are:
Gather relevant data, statistics, examples, and case studies that support your presentation.
Ensure that you have a comprehensive understanding of the topic.
Collaboratively develop the content for your presentation.
Outline the key points and structure of your presentation.
Decide on the main messages you want to convey to the audience.
Part 3: Creating Your Presentation
Your team's task is to design a presentation that is visually appealing and packed with valuable information.
Create your presentation using PowerPoint, Google Slides, or a similar presentation application compatible with our UHD systems.
Ensure that the presentation is visually appealing, organized, and free of errors.
Your presentation should be concise and focused on the main points.
Your presentation should be 10-12 minutes.

Part 4: Practice. Practice. Practice. Rehearse your presentation as a team before recording your final presentation. Pay attention to timing, clarity, and smooth transitions between sections and presenters. Part 5: Delivery
You will record your presentation and upload it to the Discussion Board (Virtual Café-Team Presentations). Part 6: Submission
On the due date, upload a copy of your slide deck using the submission link in Blackboard. One submission per team. Part 7: Peer Assessment
As a team, you will need to provide constructive feedback on two team presentations. Your feedback should highlight what the presentations did well and how they can be improved. Please assign one team member to post this feedback as a reply on the original discussion thread for each presentation.
