The letter with your highest score is your natural style tendency.
If two or more of your scores have the same high totals, you probably generally put forth similar amounts of effort in both of these style areas.
Most people have a primary and secondary style – one they revert to frequently.
Part B worth 8 marks
Now that you have determined your primary behavioural style, find your primary style and read the tendencies about your behaviour listed in CHAPTER 6 in your text.
Use your Text to answer the following Questions: (worth a total of 8 marks)
1.
What is your primary behavioural style? Explain why it is important to understand your own style. (2 marks)
My primary behavioral style is rational. Finding out our own behavioral style is essential for identifying our character, good communication, adapting to diverse circumstances, dispute resolution, self-awareness, and building long-term relationships with others. Knowing this, I can bring about changes in my communication skills and focus on improving
my personal and professional lives. Understanding my tendencies definitely helps me engage more successfully with others, which also sharpens my contribution to the team game.
2.
Based on the characteristics and generalities listed about your behaviour in the text, list 2 specific tendencies that you agree with
and give an example from your personal life for each tendency to support your answer. (2 marks)
Tendency: stress resolution and security
Example: Whenever I must face a difficult situation in my work project, I usually
prioritize preventing the file by using safety methods and finding an effective solution to the issue. For instance, during an urgent deadline, I focus my mind on figuring out possible solutions and shortcut ways to secure the success of the project before the due date.

Tendency: Active listening and providing references and resources
Example: In a group discussion, I always prefer to actively listen to my friends and colleagues’ ideas and their concerns, and sometimes I support their thoughts by providing references. For instance, if a colleague approaches their thoughts, I’ll share my knowledge, which helps with decision-making.
3.
Outline how you would react given the following scenario. List 2 specific strategies
to respond to this situation and explain why you believe each would be
effective. (2 marks)
A customer places an order for pizza online for pickup at 5 p.m. They arrive 5 minutes early and are advised there will be a 45 minute delay due to being short staffed. You are the CSR who will be dealing with this customer. You have determined this customer has a “D” behavioural style preference. Two Specific Strategies:
Be brief and offer solutions.
Explanation: I figure out that the customer has a decisive behavioral style; they are direct and straight-forward in terms of communication. This movement provides a clear and immediate solution to the issue of result-
oriented interaction, which is appropriate in the case of this customer. Accepting the facts in front of them, admitting delay to serve, giving a clear
reason, and offering an instant solution to erase the inconvenience. This strategy always works for this type of behavioral person and also values and respects their time.
Project Competence and Confidence:
Explanation: The high value of expertise and confidence is one of the
most essential parts of being a decisive behavioral customer. It is also equally crucial for CRS to show confidence in the current scenario and demonstrate their ability to provide an instance solution. Clear talk with the
customer about the issue of short staff, inform the customer that they and their order are always our top priority, and show some confidence in front of them that the issue will be solved as soon as possible.
These methods work perfectly with ‘Decisive’ behavioral customers because we make sure that the communication is clear-cut, solution-
focused, skilled, and capable. We ultimately targeted the customers behaviors and their need to reduce dissatisfaction.
4.
Logon to the internet and further research behavioural styles
and/or personality surveys
. In 150 -200 words, summarize your findings. (2 marks)
While looking around on Google, I found out about the different variants of behavioral styles and personality surveys.
Types of behavioral styles:
Analytical: This style of person has the ability to gather as much information as they can and loves to review the numbers and data. Most
of the people in this category seem to work in fields such as accounting,
financial analysis, engineering, and so on. Detailed information and accurate data are the most important factors for these types of people, and they also feel highly motivated and proud of themselves whenever they provide the correct data while working or talking. They genuinely enjoy playing with numbers to figure out the real database.
Amiable: Amiable are supportive people who believe in building and maintaining a good and long-term relationship within their workplace and with their friends and family. Most of the people with this behavior have careers in the fields of human resources, social workers, and the medical field. They are great at achieving harmony within a firm or in the
sector in which they are involved.
Personality surveys
Go deeper in order to understand other people and their characters. The Big Five are well known for understanding anyone through this survey; those big five are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. This survey has the ability to identify a to z about someone. Mostly, this method is used by firms and businesses to hire deserving people, for team building, and for personal growth.
