Learning Journal 1 – BUS 3303 – Entrepreneurship 1 – UoPeople Greetings, dear Instructor Dr. Tapati Choudhury ! I am Fogan Kossi AHOLOU. I am from Togo, but for 7 years now, I have lived in Germany, though currently on a visit to Côte d'Ivoire where I have lived for 11 years before going to settle in Germany I will be going back at the beginning of July. From 2000 to now, I have worked as a pure and full-time Christian volunteer 9without any salary at all) with the worldwide mission organization named Youth With A Mission (YWAM). However, I am preparing to change professions, in order to earn some money, I can now live with, as well as to invest in some projects. As expected from this class of entrepreneurship 1, I hope to get key knowledges that can help me be a good entrepreneur, as I wish to start an estate business in building and renting single- room apartments, starting from here in Côte d'Ivoire. What will be the accomplishment of a longtime dream. In addition, I would like to build a YWAM center in San Pedro, a harbor city of Cote d’Ivoire where I and my mission staff can run divers ministries as well as run University of the Nations courses. And I have learned a lot from my so far 23 taken courses at University of the People already, which are a big help for my vision… Now, why do I believe I will be a successful entrepreneur? Well, I think and believe I will be a successful entrepreneur because I feel it, and I am highly motivated for my dreams. In addition, I believe I will be a successful entrepreneur because of all the knowledge I have gathered from my life experience, and my more than 20 years of multicultural experience gotten from living in 8 countries in Africa and Europe. Especially, I will be a successful entrepreneur because of all the knowledge from this course of entrepreneurship and the University of the People.
