Disney is a company that does charity work and does very well in business. Disney's profits grew 7% compared to last year. Disney uses the slogan "World of Hope" The their corporate social responsibility statement is Our Commitment to Community through financial contribution, collaborations with nonprofits, and employee volunteerism, Disney brings positive, meaningful, and measurable impact to our communities around the world.(Charitable Giving - Disney Social Responsibility, 2023) Disney gave 233 million in 2022. There Charitable giving that was specifically directed toward historically underrepresented and protected communities, including the Asian American, Pacific Islander, Black, Hispanic, Native American/Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities, as well as People with Disabilities, veterans, and women. If you go to their impact website you can see pictures of alll there events that Disney hosted. Disney and UNICEF also collaborate worldwide on a collection of other activities, including employee charitable giving, and Disney's Friends of change, a program that encourages kids and families to help people and the planet. If Disney did not put millions of dollars back into the community those profits would go back into the pockets of already rich CEO's. Some people may argue that corporate social responsibility is the reasons that prices of goods continue to rise. A downfall for most CSR plans are there are no universal standards on what companies should be doing to for their social responsibility to the community. The biggest challenge to CSR is a how do you measure what's good enough to make up for the resources the company is draining from the environment.
