The objective of this study is to conduct a critical analysis and argumentation of Apple's supply chain strategies, with a particular emphasis on their theoretical implementation, the challenges associated with value creation, and the resultant issues. The present paper will additionally introduce a hypothetical literary implementation and examine the Lambert collaboration framework. The objective of this study is to provide insights into the importance of strategic supply chain linkages and innovation in the contemporary business landscape, with the aim of enhancing organisational success. In recent years, particularly within the last decade, significant disruptions have occurred within Apple's supply chain. In 2010, China played a significant role in Apple's supply chain as the majority of its suppliers were located in the country (Inomata & Taglioni, 2019). Previously, the company was heavily dependent on suppliers from China, however, it has since diversified its supply chain to encompass vendors
from various regions and countries. Apple has enhanced its in-house manufacturing capabilities by opting to discontinue its reliance on Intel processors and instead produce its own, as evidenced by recent decisions.
The supply chain of Apple is both extensive and global, encompassing the production of components in various countries such as the United States, China, Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. The company employs rigorous standards in the selection process of its suppliers and exclusively engages with those who meet said standards. The expeditious and seamless introduction of novel products by Apple can be attributed predominantly to the sophistication of the corporation's supply chain. Nevertheless, the supply chain of Apple has encountered several challenges over the past few years. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on global supply chains, resulting in scarcities of crucial materials and resources. Apple's sales and revenue have experienced a decline due to manufacturing delays and delivery issues. Allegations have been made against certain suppliers of the aforementioned company in China, pertaining to the violation of their employees' rights. This
has contributed to the pre-existing criticism of the company's labour practices within its supply chain.
In response to the challenges, Apple has implemented various measures to improve its
supply chain management. The company has made increased investments in its internal production capabilities, resulting in the construction of new manufacturing facilities within the United States. Apple has augmented the frequency and severity of audits it performs on its
