Hi class, When I went through my MBA program, I was in a similar place to many of you . I was out of school for a number of years, working as a business owner and being thrown into academic writing, having to remember what APA formatting was supposed to look like. In order to be successful in this class and the rest of your MBA program, you will need to be able to be proficient in business and academic writing skills. As there are a number of you may not have worked with APA formatting in a while and because those of you who are familiar with it may still find this beneficial, I wanted to provide you all with some resources to help with your writing moving forward. As you may know, the APA Style Guide has been update and moving forward, you will need to familiarize yourself with APA 7th Edition. Why is it important to know now? At the root of APA formatting, the purpose is organization, consistency, and giving credit where credit is due. APA formatting also helps with developing your academic voice. SNHU’s Online Writing Center FAQ for APA 7th Edition  -  The Online Writing Center is available and staffed with individuals who can work with you one-on-one, help with APA paper and citation formatting and who can review/proofread your papers prior to submission. This link will provide you with paper and citation formatting examples based on the APA 7th Edition Styling. How to Format Papers In APA 7th Edition Video     If any of you are having additional issues that aren’t addressed with these resources or would like to further discuss, I’m happy to schedule a one-on-one appointment with you to do so. This course moves really quickly but if we tackle this early on, it will certainly make it easier and much more fun moving forward and I really want all of you to be as successful as you can be in your projects that you will be carrying on with you throughout the rest of your program.
