Running Head: MBA 540 Executive Summary 1 MBA 540 Executive Summary Southern New Hampshire University
MBA 540 Executive Summary 2 The purpose of this executive summary is to analyze data from the employee survey that was created in response to the most recent company reports about employees struggling with burnout, or being overworked. After compiling the data and reviewing the results, I will give recommendations as to the course of action our company needs to take to reverse employee burnout, and how to prevent it in the future. The respondents for this survey included our workers aged 20-50+ with less than one year tenure, to 5+ years tenure and encompassed every leadership level to include executives, directors, managers, and individual contributors. There was an option for those to opt out and not disclose their gender, age, tenure or leadership level. Results: 1. Which gender is experiencing the burnout level “Pretty wiped out almost every day” most? a. According to survey results, females are experiencing the “pretty wiped out almost every day” burnout level. Females had a response of 21 employees, while males for the same burnout level, only recorded 6 responses.
MBA 540 Executive Summary 3 2. Which male age group is experiencing the stress level, “A little stress that would be expected with the ups and downs of life” at home the most? a. The 50+ male age group responded the most to the stress level ““A little stress that would be expected with the ups and downs of life” at home. There was 17 respondents in the 50+ male section, with 13 in the 40–49-year age group, and 7 in the 30-39 year age group. 3. Which leadership level strongly agrees with the fact that they love what they do? a. There are respondents in each leadership level that selected they strongly agree that they love what they do, but the level with the most respondents was the Manager tier at 24 responses. The next closes tier was the Directors, at 8 responses to strongly agree.

MBA 540 Executive Summary 4 4. Which gender with a tenure of 5+ years had the lowest number of responses for the burnout level “I feel great! Energy to spare!”? a. The gender that had the lowest number of responses for “I feel great! Energy to spare!” with a tenure of 5+ years was the female gender with a total of 1 response.
MBA 540 Executive Summary 5 The males were close, with a total of 3. Recommendations Based on my analysis of this employee survey, there are two things that we can focus on to reduce employee burnout. First, we should provide tools such as confidential counseling for
MBA 540 Executive Summary 6 our workers, as a large majority of the respondents reported having elevated stress levels at home. This counseling could relieve stress on the employees with issues at home, and thus decrease any perceived work stress. Not bringing home stress into work, is just as important as not bringing work home, to better increase a work-life balance. Second, we should perform feedbacks with the Manager demographic, and find out why our managers have higher responses to “I love what I do”. Next, we perform feedbacks with the other three demographics, Director, Executive, and individual contributor, to see where and why there is a huge gap in job satisfaction. Finally, depending on the results of the more targeted feedback, we can implement changes in our work structure, such as a shift in workload, to better benefit everyone with an increased job satisfaction.
