On the first day the student will lose 5%, on the second and third day the student will lose 1%. The percentage late penalty will be 7% for three days. 2. What is the Prof’s 24-hour policy concerning requests for an extension? Explain. If a student needs an extension, they cannot request it within 24 hours of the due date for the assignment. Students need to ask at least 24 hours before it is due. 3. What date, time, and location are the Prof’s weekly office hours? In-person office hours are on Mondays from 9am-11am in the South Ross Building in room 447. Online office hours happen through zoom on Tuesdays from 10am-11am. 4. (2) Identify Signs of Defensiveness and Aggression Worth 10 marks Purpose: ▪ By doing this Learning Activity you will be practicing the skill of recognizing signs of defensiveness and aggression in argument partners. ▪ Identifying and seeing signs of defensiveness and aggression for what they are, indicators of logical vulnerability and insecurity, you can begin to practice deescalating conflict during deep disagreement. ▪ Also, being mindful of signs of defensiveness and aggression can help you to prevent the closing of the other person’s mind or at least making it less difficult for that person to be open-minded. ▪ Practicing staying with the discomfort of logical vulnerability prevents you and others from gaining insights and knowledge, from growing. 2 | Page

Answer: Pier Morgan shows multiple signs of aggression and defensiveness through the clip. First, in 2:22-3:07, Morgan continually interrupts Pratt while he is trying to explain his point. When Pratt tries to further explain himself, Morgan continues to interrupt him while raising his voice to silence Pratt. When Pratt chuckles, likely out of irritation from being interrupted, Morgan begins to mock him by asking him not to laugh, suggesting Pratt is not taking the issue seriously. Later, during 3:53-4:06, Morgan asks Pratt a question. While Pratt is answering, Morgan starts interrupting and becoming impatient with Pratt for not answering more concisely.
