Do you expect the environment of rapid change to continue indefinitely? Why or why not? What factors will be the most significant in contributing to the continuance or abatement of this environment of constant change? Explain. I expect that the environment of rapid change will continue indefinitely. Change is a natural part of life and in today's economy that change continues to happen rapidly. In the last decade we have witnessed that social, global, and marketplace shifts are transforming. Rapid change is transforming the nature of work, leadership/managers, and how existing organizations can best adapt to global change (Syed Ibrahim et al., 2019). Rapid change is becoming more normalized than before and leaders today are no longer taking the same leadership approaches as before. The most significant factors that contribute to the continuance of constant change would be global competition, technology, depleted resources, and global communication (Sage, 2020). Organizations are steadily competing with one another and not all organizations are able to keep up. Organizations are outsourcing and driving their businesses to other countries. Technology is still changing and we are seeing a significant number of resources being depleted. Times are changing and it waits for no one. Sage, R. F. (2020). Global change biology: a primer.
