7 My population estimate was 161, and the real number of beads (including the red-marked beads) that were counted was 198, so my predictions weren't too off. 12. How would the data change if 40 samples were taken? Since more samples can be obtained with more precise data, there would also be less variation as there were more samples available. 13. List three situations or types of organisms for which this type of population study is appropriate. Animals in the wild, tree cover in forests, and fish in aquariums can all be sampled extensively, and it is most helpful for gathering data required for scientific research or long-term monitoring. 14. Give an example of a situation where this type of population study would not be ideal.
