The studies that have found solar energy will most likely become our main source of energy. There will be four barriers that may hinder the switch to solar. They are the following: creation of stable power grids, financing solar in developing economies, capacity of supply chains, and political resistance from regions that lose jobs. The recent innovations with solar cells are making the need for fossil fuel predictions unnecessary.

My beliefs, assumptions and values have impacted my research question in a simple way. I have been interested in solar energy for quite some time. I have worked in the industry of other energy sources for a decade and a half, so the thought of an alternative energy source, that may become the world's main source of energy really caught my attention and curiosity.
