Benchmark—Gospel Essentials This semester, the class has been exposed to the Christian worldview. The course addressed the cornerstones of the Christian faith, the gospel, and how to understand the Christian worldview. Many of these ideas are not well understood by the typical person, but in this course, the students have learned exactly what the Christian worldview is and how to reply to these few simple inquiries. This essay will analyze the Christian Worldview, God's Nature, Human Nature, Jesus' Nature, the Restoration, and the Christian Foundation. Although many of them may seem to imply the same thing or signify something similar, there are many variations, and each is important for understanding the central concepts of the gospel and the Christian worldview. Gospel Essential Beliefs Nature of God God is a triune God because he is three persons in one. God is referred to be the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in the doctrine of the holy trinity. The idea of a triune God has been central to the Christian religion from its origin. It is thought that while God is a single, unifying being, He has shown Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit at various points throughout history. Mellish, 2014, p. In addition to being a triune god, God possesses several other qualities. God is interpersonal, omnipotent, all-powerful, sovereign, and holy. God is a powerful being with many attributes. He is all-knowing, without sin, present everywhere, and in control of the cosmos. God created the earth and the heavens. Genesis 1:1–2 states that God created the heavens and the earth. The entire holy trinity took part in the act of creation. Creation itself provided proof of God's power. Many people are confused about the precise creation chronology, even though the Bible says that it happened over seven days. Some people believe that days are only time frames rather than real days. 2
Nature of Humanity God is a triune God because he is three persons in one. They disobeyed God's plain commands, and as a result, sin entered the earth. This has led to the problems that mankind is now experiencing. Because of Adam and everyone's sin, people today deal with and experience a wide range of problems. Nature of Jesus Jesus is the Son of God, fully God, and fully man. To atone for our sins, Jesus came to earth. Anyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ will have eternal life in paradise, according to the Bible. Jesus had this as his main objective. To spread the gospel and acquire followers, Jesus was sent to this world. Later, to atone for all sins—past, present, and future—he was crucified. All Christians hope that they will enjoy this kind of eternal life. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, according to the core premise of the Christian religion. Without Him, Christians would have no possibility of a life in paradise or of having their sins forgiven, but with Him, there is hope. It is essential to remember that Jesus is God who has taken on human nature yet still possesses all of God's qualities. Jesus had visited the world before he was crucified. If Jesus had not come down from heaven and died on the cross, people would not have had the opportunity to establish a relationship with God because of their sins, but because of Jesus, we have hope of doing so. Jesus is the Son of God, fully God, and fully man. Christians who believe in Jesus will realize that the best way to impact society is to become his disciples and forward his cause. Christian Foundations The Christian worldview's basis is shaped by the nature of God, the nature of humanity, the nature of Jesus, and the restoration. This concept is true for everyone who holds to the Christian Worldview. The fundamentals of the Christian worldview are comprised of numerous factors that go into those four principles and the specifics within them. Christians need to believe in a triune God who is the only real deity. They must have faith that Jesus descended from heaven to forgive us of our sins. Christians need to comprehend that God created the universe, not simply some random natural phenomena, and that without God, mankind would perish. Because it discusses how people were made in God's image and how, while being made in God's image, we yet have free will, the essence of mankind is equally significant. After all, sin entered the world and there is only one way to be saved—through Jesus Christ. Analysis of the Implications of the Christian Worldview There are so many benefits to practicing Christianity. A person without a religious attachment usually lacks guidance, to start. Another gift of the Christian religion to all of mankind is the hope found in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. Knowing we are all built in God's likeness offers people hope and a sense of value. Our intrinsic worth and feeling of purpose are made clear by Jesus' arrival and death on the cross. Any perspective on the world 4
will have some of the same characteristics, but the Christian vision stands apart because it gives people hope for a life that comes beyond this one on earth. a life free from pain, misery, and sin. Contrary to every other worldview in existence today, the Christian perspective maintains that all of this is achieved via trust in God and the conviction that Jesus died to atone for our sins. The Christian worldview also helps people because it improves them as people. Christians can apply the guidelines found in the Bible to live better lives in the contemporary world. Some people do find Christianity to be baffling since there is no clear answer to questions like whether or not the Bible is trustworthy or how God can be three people in one. However, without Christianity, there would be no peace or hope for the hopeless, and with Christianity, there would always be hope through Jesus. This is because Christians put their faith in God, even if there is no other tangible proof of his presence outside of what is mentioned in the Bible. Conclusion It is hard to cover every facet of the Christian worldview in a single article since it involves so many diverse ideas. But the fundamental principles—such as what God is like, what mankind is like, how to restore things, what Jesus is like, and how to evaluate the Christian faith—are all present and essential for one to believe in Christianity. Nobody can be forced to adopt Christianity, but I believe this article has provided sufficient proof to establish that the Christian worldview and Jesus are without a doubt true. The Christian worldview teaches people what it means to be a Christian and supports their spiritual growth. We can only make an effort to increase the number of people who pass through the gates of heaven by giving our testimony and outlining how Jesus saved us from our sins and that there is only one God. There will never be a straightforward answer that persuades everyone to adopt Christianity. 5
