Research Assignment Template
Student name: Jaidyn A. Carlile
My Story Premise: Seven mutilated bodies found; more people went missing every month. A pattern the detective could not figure out, no one could. It had been strange, after all not a lot of people lived in the small town of Umbra, VT it was a close-knit community where everybody knew each other’s business. Clues had begun to pop up eventually although it had overlooked it at first. Art doesn't usually solve crimes. A few paintings around town beautiful landscapes, but they always felt off. Although, the detective couldn't place what about these photos made her skin crawl, until it clicked. The paintings were the location where they found the bodies. No name, just an alias. No one seemed to know who the artist was or where the paintings came from. The paintings began to act as a roadmap pointing in the direction of more mutilated bodies of missing people from the town of Umbra. People once members of the close community, taken and brutalized by a monster.
