Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) : Leonardo da Vinci, an Italian Renaissance polymath, is celebrated as one of the greatest painters in the history of art. Born in Vinci, Italy, in 1452, he possessed a rare combination of artistic talent and scientific curiosity. His artistry is characterized by meticulous attention to detail, anatomical precision, and an unmatched understanding of light and perspective. Perhaps his most iconic work is the "Mona Lisa," a masterpiece that showcases his skill in capturing the enigmatic smile and nuanced expression of the subject. His fresco "The Last Supper" is equally celebrated for its depiction of the moment when Jesus announces his impending betrayal. Beyond painting, da Vinci was a visionary inventor and scientist. His notebooks contain a vast array of sketches and ideas, many of which were far ahead of his time. He explored subjects such as anatomy, engineering, and the flight of birds. Da Vinci's relentless quest for knowledge allowed him to infuse his art with a scientific precision that set him apart.
