My Goals For Scholarship
I haven't had many goals in life, but the few I do I plan to achieve. I plan to become very good at
basketball, but I won't join the NBA. I plan to make it into Postsecondary Education Opportunity
(PSEO), and graduate with a Gates millennium scholarship, which pays 12,785 dollars on average.
Those can all be achieved by the end of high school
, but I have even bigger plans after that. I plan to
become an orthopedic surgeon and attend either Harvard or Stanford. These are all big plans and I
hope to achieve them all. In high school
, I said I plan to practice my basketball skills and to make it
into PSEO. I have already taken steps to improve my skills in basketball. I go to the gym every
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and any other time I have the chance. I have also started on making it to
PSEO, I have been maintaining my grades and have no missing assignments. I plan on going to
Normandale community college and to the University of Minnesota after that. My goals through
college are very specific. I plan to graduate with a Gates millennium scholarship, which will be
paying most of my classes for the first four years. I also plan to be accepted to both Harvard
University and Stanford, but to choose one based on my personal needs. I will work hard in all of
my classes and will finish my four years at the top of my class. I don't think it

The time has come for me to proudly say I have made it. As I am in the position to rejoice the
success of my life, I remembered you. The moment I walked in to your classroom in 9th grade, you
have guided me and supported me to excel in my academics. As a newly immigrated student to the
country, you have helped me learn English and went out of your way to accommodate my academic
needs by staying afterschool.
I remember how you sat in the classroom patiently late into the evening as I was trying to finish my
homework. Thank you for understanding my situation at the time–the fact I did not have a computer
at home and my parents were not able to help me with my school assignments. You saw in me my
passion for education and my desire for success. As your student, you made sure that not only I

My Academic And Laboratory Skills
In the spring of 2016, I will be taking other crucial science classes with their respective laboratories
such as Biochemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, and Physics II. I will also be taking a class, Special
Topics in Neuroscience, which will further extend my knowledge about neurobiology. My academic
and laboratory by the time the SURF starts, will enable me to have a very strong grip on the
academic and laboratory skills required by the SURF projects; Therefore, I will be able to offer
analysis and interpretation skills of greater quality than someone who lacks that academic
coursework and Laboratory skills. I am sure, like previous semesters, I will achieve excellence
through hard work in spring 2016 too.
It will be a mistake to think my consistent hard work stops with STEM courses. Due to Outstanding
performance in both college level humanity and STEM classes I passed all my advanced placement
exams with high scores. By the end of High School
, I received AP Scholar award twice, and
currently hold 74 credits, even though I am still in my second year of college.
Back in 2014, when I applied to prestigious institutions as a high–school senior such as FSU, UCF
and USF, I was offered more than $16,000 from each college in form of scholarships and grants.
One notable scholarship opportunity I was presented with was the Gates Millennium Scholarship

Example Of A Scholarship Essay
Ronald Reagan stated that, "there are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human
spirit, and no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect." Mr. Reagan's quote reminds
me of the fact that as individuals, we are in control of our destiny; the only obstacle between us and
our dreams, is the ones we create. It is often said that a true leader is one who leads by example;
through my community service and leadership opportunities, I was able to become an example for
not only youths in general, but also my community. As a female raised in the African–American
community, I wanted to be an example and beacon for my community. Consequently, I became the

Bill Gates Research Paper
The Greatest Entrepreneur of all time is Bill Gates. William (Bill) Henry Gates was born on October
28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington to parents William and Mary (Maxwell) Gates. Most known for his
title of Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Corporation, the World's Largest Computer Company, it
became evident that Gates was a risk–taker early on in his life as his favourite games were "Risk"
and "Monopoly". Gates also had the advantage of starting young as he first learned to program
computers in grade eight. Fast–forwarding a few years, Gates graduated from Lakeside in 1973,
scoring a 1590 out of 1600 on the college SAT test, an accomplishment that few were able to
achieve. Gates later enrolled in Harvard University, originally intending to pursue

Microsoft then launched Windows in 1985. A year later, Gate became the youngest billionaire ever,
at the age of 31. That impressive title was followed by another as Gates was named the richest man
in the world at the age of 39. Due to his vision for his company, his strong determination and his
incredible motivation to get to the top, Gates was able to achieve success far beyond anyone would
have expected. Gates had created a multi–billion dollar company, in 25 years. Many people believe
that some of the possible reasons for his success include the fact that he valued his work, and he was
never afraid to ask for money. He was also able to recognize the best employees for his business,
and he rarely stopped to rest. Then, on January 1, 1994, Gates married one of his workers, Melinda
French. He and Melinda had two daughters – Jennifer and Phoebe, as well as a son named Rory. In
1994, Bill and Melinda created a foundation called the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which was
dedicated to supporting education, world health, and investment in low–income communities. The
couple made a 28 billion dollar contribution to create this

Melinda Gate Research Paper
People often say that behind every great man is a great women. Melinda Gate easily reputes this
theory and proves that great women can stand on their own. Besides the fact that she could
obviously pay for an obnoxiously nice meal, I would love to have dinner with Melinda because her
life's work has encompassed two things that have enamored me: computer science and philanthropy.
For years she worked at Microsoft, creating software for one of the most prestigious tech
companies. After marrying Bill Gates, she utilized the new connections available to her to spread
not only technology, but also education, health care, and affection across the globe. Having the
opportunity to sit down with Melinda to discuss her professional experiences and uncover

William Gates Research Paper
(1) William Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington. Gates' father was a lawyer,
and his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate Bancsystem and the United Way.
Gates had an older sister and a younger sister, the older sister was Kristianne and his younger sister
was Libby. He was the fourth of his name in his family, but he was really known as William Gates

for winning and losing. At 13, he enrolled in a private school called Lakeside School. One of the
systems was a PDP–10 which belonged to Computer Center Corporation (CCC), which banned four
Lakeside students – Gates, Paul Allen, Ric Weiland, and Kevin Evans – for hacking the computers.
The four students offered to find bugs for the CCC's software for computer time. The deal with the
CCC continued until 1970, when the company went out of business. Gates graduated from Lakeside
School in 1973 and was a National Merit Scholar. He scored 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT and

school fees are due. Also, how come I did not receive a grant this school year? I did submit my
