The Story of Auschwitz
The story of Auschwitz
by Olga has become a Holocaust memoir globally since it
includes past events of Germany while being written according to the author's experience in
Auschwitz's bars. The author experienced traumatized events narrated in the book according to
how they transpired. Olga experienced brutality and traumatizing occurrences, which motivated
her to document the events. The author experienced discrimination, brutality, and violence,
making her life very difficult. For instance, Olga's family was brutally murdered by the use of
Poisonous in a closed chamber; therefore, the family members could not survive in the tightly
closed chamber. Additionally, the deportation of Olga's husband led to the death of all family
members due to the harsh treatment by the authority. Therefore, Olga experienced brutality and
violence while being jailed in Auschwitz; the book documents the traumatizing experiences and
events encountered by Olga.
The story of Auschwitz
by Olga is well articulated while clearly describing the events.
Although the memoir has a lot of brutality and violent occurrences, they are essential since they
allow the reader to understand better the encounters experienced by the author (
Lengyel, 2015).
Additionally, it creates a vivid image of how the events transpired. The information recorded in
the book were memories of when Olga worked in the infirmary and interactions with other
people who contributed as they also shared their experiences. The book is a memoir since it
reports the events experienced by the author in the Auschwitz incident. The book is written
without being biased or favoring one side of the story since it demonstrates the reality
experienced by Olga. Hence, the book contains truthful occurrences of events that transpired in
Auschwitz.

The book demonstrates Olga's courageous character trait. The author experienced
challenging events which were harsh and brutal; however, she endured the difficult situations and
emerged a strong woman whose experience has been documented to help people learn about the
challenges encountered in Auschwitz (
Lengyel, 2015). Additionally, Olga did not seek sympathy;
although she experienced difficult situations, she has a strong character trait that allowed her to
overcome the difficult situations in Auschwitz. The book is well organized, and each chapter of
the book has supporting evidence, which allows the reader to determine the credibility of the
information provided. Therefore, the book demonstrates the author's courageous and strong
character trait since the author continued to be strong despite the challenging events that
transpired in Auschwitz.
However, although the book has many positive traits, it has a major negative trait due to
the lack of photographic substance. Imagery is an essential element that should have been
considered more in the book. Imagery allows the reader to have vivid images concerning the
events in Auschwitz. Therefore, the book should have included the element of imagery since it
creates good visuals in the reader's mind, thereby creating a better understanding and
visualization of the occurrences (
Lengyel, 2015). For instance, the book should have included
photographic substance to explain the functioning of the Nazi death machine while creating the
image of the events transpiring in the crematorium. Therefore, a photographic substance is
essential since it allows the readers to visualize the occurrences in Auschwitz.
Briefly,
while imprisoned at Auschwitz, Olga was subjected to brutality and violence; the
book chronicles her traumatic experiences and incidents. Olga's book, The Story of Auschwitz, is
well-written and provides a detailed account of the events. Because it depicts Olga's reality, the
book is written without being prejudiced or supporting one side of the story. The author faced
