Points:
The pie chart illustrates the proportion of field jobs done by Anthropology students after completing their graduation and the table represents data of salaries of graduates post five years of employment. Overall, majority of the Anthropology graduates pursue their career in full time employment. In terms of salaries, a significant proportion of the freelance consultants and government employees earned at least $75000 while only roughly half of the private sector employees earned this amount. Just over half of the graduates went on to work full time jobs, compared with only 15% working part time and 12% unemployed. Those who did full time postgraduate study and those who did part-time job along with postgraduate study each only made up a small minority of graduates, at 8% and 5% respectively. The salaries of graduates post 5 years of employment was highest in the government sector at more than 100,000 dollars for one half of the employees working in government sector. Furthermore, more than three fourth of freelance consultants earned at least 75,000 dollars while private companies pay this amount to only 55% of the total graduates.

With growth in advancements of technology, the marketing industry has boosted a lot. Some people think advertisements are really helpful in attracting customers and growing sales while others believe that commercials have become really common and they are easily ignored. It is important to admit that both views have their own merits. In this essay, I will discuss the possible reasons that support each view. To embark with, advertisements play a vital role in increasing the sales and forming a good network in the market. For instance, a survey stated that an average person consumes around 15 percent of their time scrolling Instagram and in this time period that person sees almost 50 advertisements. Therefore, there are huge chances that the person’s attention is easily grabbed by at least one commercial. Additionally, the advertisers save a lot of time and resources because they do not need to go anywhere like door to door selling of their goods. On the other hand, there are various commercials which seems to be fake and are made just to manipulate the customer. This creates a bad impression on person’s mind which further causes them to believe that advertisements are useless and they start ignoring them for a while. For example, my friend Tina bought shoes from a commercial which showed on Instagram, but the shoes were never delivered to her, although she made the advance payment. After this incident she started ignoring the advertisements as it causes a fear in her mind that it might be fake.
