Solution

Find the perimeter and area of the given figure.

Perimeter of trapezium $=26in.$

Area of trapezium $=24i{n}^2$

• Formula of Perimeter of trapezium $=a+b+c+d$ .
• Formula of Area of trapezium $=\frac{1}{2}(sumofparallelsides)\cdot height$

Calculation:

The given figure is -

  

As the given figure has two sides are parallel and two sides are non-parallel so it is a Trapezium.

The Perimeter of trapezium $=4+5+12+5=26$

So, Perimeter of trapezium $=26in.$

The Area of trapezium $=\frac{1}{2}(sumofparallelsides)\cdot height$

  $\begin{array}{l}=\frac{1}{2}(4+12)\cdot 3\\ =\frac{1}{2}(16)\cdot 3\\ =\frac{48}{2}\\ =24\end{array}$

So, Area of trapezium $=24i{n}^2$
