Solution

Find the perimeter and area of the given figure.

Perimeter of rectangle $=10cm$

Area of rectangle $=6c{m}^2$

Concept Used:

• Formula of Perimeter of rectangle $=2(l+b)$
• Formula of Area of rectangle $=l\cdot b$

Calculation:

The given figure is -

  

As the both opposite sides are equal and all angles are ${90}^0$ . So the given figure will be rectangle.

The Perimeter of rectangle $=2(l+b)$

  $\begin{array}{l}=2(3+2)\\ =2(5)\\ =10\end{array}$

So, Perimeter of rectangle $=10cm$

The Area of rectangle $=l\cdot b$

  $\begin{array}{l}=(3\cdot 2)\\ =6\end{array}$

So, Area of rectangle $=6c{m}^2$
