$\frac{2x^4-3x^2+1}{2x^3}=\frac{2x^4}{2x^3}-\frac{3x^2}{2x^3}+\frac{1}{2x^3}=x-\frac{3}{2}{x}^{-1}+\frac{1}{2}{x}^{-3}$
