The formula to solve any quadratic equation is known as Quadratic formula,

i.e. $x=\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}$

where a, b and c is determined from comparing the equation with its standard form i.e. $a{x}^2+bx+c$
