Write at least three different expression for the tottal number of small square that makes up design in figure 9.7 . Each expression should fit with the way the squares are arranged in the design and should involve multiplication and either addition or subtractions. in each case, explain briefly why the expression describes the total number of small squares in the design ( without counting tye squares or evaluating the expressions )

 

Figure 9.7 writes expression for the total number of small squares.
