Introduction:

The agent that influences the activities of a cell is known as signal. The function of signals is to ensure the occurrence of cell cycle stages in normal sequence. The checkpoints within the cell cycle continue or stop the cell cycle depending upon the internal signals. There are three types of major checkpoint in the cell cycle ${\text{G}}_{\text{1}}$ check point, ${\text{G}}_{\text{2}}$ check point and mitotic check point.
