Introduction:

Restriction enzymes are enzymes chiefly produced by bacteria and have a property of cleaving DNA fragments at or near a specificbase sequences. These sites where restriction enzymes cleave DNA fragment are called as restriction sites. They produce two types of ends namely sticky and blunt ends. Sticky ends are basically the cohesive ends while the blunt ends are the non-cohesive ends.
