HTTP Protocol:
- Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is one of the high-level protocols of the World Wide Web for transmitting documents.
- High-level protocol defines the format of message for communication between the devices.
- It is an application-level protocol used for communication between the client and server in various formats such as text, images, and videos.
- Client sends an http request to the server, and the server performs the function and returns the response to the client.
- Server does not remember the previous request, so HTTP is a stateless protocol.
- Stateless protocol means each request is independent of the previous request and requires a separate TCP connection.
- To open a web page, enter “http://” before the web address to make the browser to communicate over HTTP.
- For example, to open a browser, enter “http://www.google.com” .
