Introduction:

Tissues are the group of identical cells of a similar origin carrying out a particular function. In plants, tissues are broadly classified into three types called the epidermal, ground and vascular tissue system. Epidermal tissue forms the outermost surface of the leaves and plants. Ground tissues are the less differentiated tissues making up the plant body and helping in the manufacture and storage of nutrients. The vascular tissue includes the xylem and phloem helping in the transport of substances.
